Hey Mike, glad to see you turned Gureala into a blog. I remember when it use to be an online magazine (Not sure if you remember me but I asked you for magazine advice yrs ago.) I fell off for a while, but somehow I stumbled upon it. Glad to see the site is back up.

Maybe the days of the 'Nas v. Jay' type beef is over. 50 does what he does best, and you can't knock him for that. I'm not condoning what 50 did, but c'mon now. 50's gonna do what he has to do in order to discredit you and your character.

That was the most Bamma move I saw ever in a battle. And I bet it's some people at home, like that was cold. that was B_A_M_M_A . She talking bout he took the car, I would have too, because behind all the court, he ain't coming to court blah blah blah, he got you the truck in the first place. and the right to give, it's his to take away.

Even though I wasn't following this beef, 50 cent loses alot of respect for that move.

In the 13 months I've been blogging, I've learned that you can't rush inspiration. It comes when it comes and it passes when it passes.

As far as writing anxiety goes, sometimes you have to just get out and forget about writing for awhile. And then, the urge to write will hit.

Also, don't you think that this post is actually beneficial to you in that, it's got you back to writing again?

you're not alone, it seems as though a lot of folks aren't digging this one. I still haven't heard it yet...think I'll go out and get a copy tonight. I'm excited to hear it though...mainly to see where his head's at and also to hear about his experiences over the past year.

The packaging idea, I can dig it in a MAJOR way.

The music though...NOT feeling it this go-round. The beats are wack, and the vibe is kind un-timely.

LOL.

yeah, you opened my eyes to the iMac a couple months back. and although I am feeling them inside and out--the aluminum joints are ridiculously nice--nothing beats the portability of a laptop, man. and I'm not just speaking in terms of outside the office or home, but rather the ability to move freely within both of those places. unbeatable.

I wonder if they new iMac will sport any major cosmetic changes though...

I gotta jump in and say this.

Was out w/ some co-workers for cocktails and they made me feel super LOW, HAHAHA!

They weren't impressed w/ these so-called "holograms" to any extent. Their major disappointment was that Anderson Cooper really couldn't see the projection, he could only hear it. He was told where to focus so that it appeared as if he was really communicating w/ the projection.

I still thought it was cool, but it lost about 25 of 50 cool points for me.

Your thoughts?

Yea why don't you all continue to talk about your high-powered mac books while your boy D struggles to survive and lives on his 2004 iBook G4! LOL!

My next move is the next release of the iMac, which should be in 09 some time from what I've heard.

No more laptops for me. I'm not trying to have the option of WORKING on the fly, when I'm gone...I'm GONE. lol!

MK, consider getting a desktop Mac and kill your PC for good bro.

Yeah man. The glossy screen really isn't that bad at all you really don't notice it until you get in a randomly lit area even then it isn't so bad.

The Trackpad is much more of an annoyance than the glossy screen. It’s sluggish sometimes. Like I think it gets confused like it can't tell the difference between a thumb laid on its side and a two fingers bunched together mixed with various gestures. It’s weird though because not everybody is having this problem. The Apple forums make it seem like it has something to do with the new NVIDIA graphics chips.

Not sure about third party solutions, but i'm sure someone could make a non-adherent matte film that you could stick to the glass. And for the mouse, all you'd need is a sticker strip to block out the bottom of the track pad so it doesn't react to movements where you click. Problems solved.

Sucks that Apple didn't do enough market research/testing with the mouse.

Decision, decisions...
I actually prefer matte displays--hate the fact that Apple didn't give us an option this time around--but because I'm so enthralled by the design of the new MBPs overall, I may just bury my complaints and go glossy in the end. Not sure how true this is, but I've heard that there may be some 3rd party solutions for the screen glare--screen filters or something along those lines--seen anything like this?

Matte dude. MATTE.
BUT the new Macbook Pros don’t come with the Matte vs. Gloss option anymore. The glossy isn't so bad, until you open it up in a room full of of bright/photography type lights. I rarely see a reflection on mine. When I do, all I have to do is turn the screen brightness up and pretty much goes away. But if I had a choice I would have definitely taken the matte route. The glossiness serves no purpose for me. But I bet it helps Apple pull in PC people.
